We started Edinburgh Documentary Films because we wanted to tell stories that matter to us - films that educate, challenge, and inspire. With 25 years of combined experience, we’ve found our niche in crafting engaging, creative films for broadcasters, streamers, and brands looking to tell their stories in a meaningful way.
We make things happen and can always be trusted to deliver. We’re dynamic, hands-on, and flexible - adapting to the needs of each project to bring ideas to life in the best possible way.
Of course, filmmaking is a team effort, and we’re lucky to be based in Scotland, where we have access to some of the best crews and creatives in the industry. Collaboration is at the heart of what we do - whether to scale up for ambitious projects or to add that extra spark of creativity when it’s needed most.

We’re currently working on several projects for the BBC, as well as developing feature documentaries slated to launch in 2025 and 2026. Alongside this, we’re collaborating with long-term partners to create content across multiple online platforms.
